Veins In The Woods

Am I?

Tiny Rocks 02:39
The endless crawling dunes were once epic rolling boulders. Was it all just meant to be, or a gift from a great molder? Why is it that some of us have this feeling like the weight of a world on shoulders? A feeling so intimidating and heavy will only make one grow colder. Time does not truly exist but we still all get older Yet greed keeps us fighting more wars, over and over. Such a miserable fact that this world owns so many soldiers. Everyone wants to be a pimp so we made mother earth our whore and sold her.
3.
Tromp 02:32
With fault, but passion A trail was made. No concise lines. No destination. Just a way...a way to the next. GRADED, GRADED graded all the while. As if continuing this tromp, through present surroundings, wasn't proof enough. NO!! SMACK THEM DOWN! Make them doubt, make them suffer. Make them wallow in inadequacy. Enough is never enough... ...not in this age. Reinforcement must be cold. Cold as steel. The brooding ways of nature, Is what this is. Yet the paths are still made. These ways are still tromped. Such common bravery. So common overlooked.
4.
Surf Void 03:56
Apathy claims the surface Takes shape, wears a face Burning, a fed furnace Fueled by uninspired hate Chained to a gainless purpose Anchored, trip into fate The more you say the more you’re heard less Folded in file, second rate Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick A shelf of unread books Claw your way to the microphone Lose your nerve under unsteady looks Self-deprecating logic overwhelms The drive to grasp whats took Rationalize as just another flaw As you crawl into your warm safe nook
5.
Whether 01:49
A worthless expectation A redundant statement An unequal reward For the chances worth taking Derivative creations Though sole involvement Experience is for The ones who are making Pick and choose of the libations Was it worth, where your time went? A place to hide; secluded shore No audience, no room for faking Use a common salutation Even measure marker placement To leave praise at the door Ego. Choice. The life waking.
6.
Blurred are the lines And overlapping faces Of who you are and were Just moments before Ever flowing, ever changing In this sense I am nothing But could be everything
7.
I follow these trails Like veins in the woods Once lost, it’s found A place of no evil, no good Stand on unblessed ground Kill knowledge, don’t mourn it You are naught but thought Sentience is unimportant In the neutral hollow Minuscule is you, realize Wallow in the afterglow Of being cut down to size This hard pill to swallow Not a coveted prize The truth is nothing The rest are the lies
